With more than 35 years of hands-on industry experience, Joyce Bromberg is a workplace management expert specializing in human-centered design who is setting the standard for how employees interact with their work environment.
As Chief Strategy Officer at Convene, Ms. Bromberg is conducting the critical research guiding the company’s business and marketing strategies. She also leads the foresight work that searches for weak signals. that once fully formed will determine how the world lives, works and plays. Ms Bromberg also leads the Convene’s new product development activities.
Prior to joining Convene, Ms. Bromberg was director of research for Steelcase Inc., where her teams studied the workplace and created new market opportunities that resulted in the formation of companies focused on health care and education. Her other areas of focus included retail banking, the future of work, the role of physical space in knowledge management and a worldwide study of Generation Y and its impact on the workplace. She was the lead developer of Community-Based Planning, a space-planning methodology and web-based tool set. As Director of Steelcase Environments she was the Designer of many award winning showrooms and exhibitions.
Ms. Bromberg was named as one of the Top 25 Health Care Designers by Health Care Design Magazine and has been an invited speaker and teacher at universities around the world. A graduate of the High School of Music and Art, Ms. Bromberg has a BA in Art History from Stony Brook University, New York.
